they like Jesus but not Dan's hair...

We had the opportunity to watch a talk that Dan Kimball gave on this topic and although we were a bit distracted by the hair, Dan communicated some important information. He called us to be educated about the culture that we live in, step outside our Christian bubbles and redefine evangelism. How do we put this into practice, love people like Jesus, all the while not diluting or hiding the message of the Gospel?

Man, this is a tough question... I spent some time thinking about this, and I realized something about how Jesus approached this in his day. On many occasions during his ministry, it was others who asked him "why" or questioned his reason for doing something. I think this occured many times because Jesus would react to things or approach things in such a manner that was different from what was expected in those times. Different enough for others to question "why". He was pretty radical in his thinking. It makes me realize that it isn't just enough to approach things in a way that a non Christian would (such that we wouldn't completely turn them off to the Gospel), but we need to approach things in a more radical why as Jesus would do - really lateral thinking. This makes people think, and they are compelled to question.
